A nine-member committee has been constituted by the bishop to oversee the holistic development of Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto at Kpando-Agbenoxoe.
The committee is made up of the following members;
1. Mr. Bernard Quarshie- Chairman
2. Mr. Mark Badasu-Vice Chairman
3. Mr. Joseph Quaranteng-Secretary
4. Madam Florence Afeatse- Finance Secretary
5. Rev. Fr Jesse Amedzi- Rector of the Grotto
6. Rev Fr. Benjamin Gawu- Diocesan Liturgist
7. Rev. Fr. Valerius Kosikojo, C.S.Sp., the Parish Priest of Queen of Peace Parish, Ve–Golokwati - Member
8. Mr. Emmanuel Alorbi-Member
9. And one other member yet-to-be appointed by Bishop.
Bishop Emmanuel Kofi Fianu, SVD in outdooring the committee during the climax of the 2018 End of Year Pilgrimage to the grotto on Sunday 9th December, 2018 disclosed that, the team has a representative each from the Ho, Kpando and Hohoe deaneries as well as the Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto, Kpando- Agbenorxoe.
Most Rev. Fianu said the mandate of the group is to spearhead the physical development and coordinate religious activities at the grotto.
On behalf of the members, the committee chairman Mr. Quarshie expressed their commitment to work with the support of all the faithfuls to improve facilities at the grotto and position it to attract religious tourists within Ghana and beyond. He appealed for donations to support the procurement of seats at the Grotto.
A special fundraising was also done in aid of signages and a website to promote the prayer site.
