The Solemnity of the Body and Blood of Christ

(Corpus Christi)

The Feast of the Body and Blood of Christ was celebrated today at the Sacred Heart Cathedral, Ho Bankoe. The Mass presided over by the Vicar General Very Rev. Fr. William Horlu. In his homily, he urged the christ's faithful not to be disheartened amidst this COVID 19 pandemic. He said that all we need do is to trust in the ever-abiding presence of the Lord in the Blessed Sacrament. He added further that, the Eucharist is the source and summit of all Christian worship. He admonished us to live in communion with Christ and with one another. "We Catholics believe in the Real Presence of Christ because it was Christ himself who said so" was added by him. He continued to explain that all who eat and drink the Body and Blood of Christ will abide in him and he in them since Christ said so himself. Concluding his homily, he urged us to be loving, kind, and tolerant, eschewing all kinds of discriminations and divisions since we all share in the union of the same communion we receive in Christ Jesus.
